You can also expect to learn discipline, teamwork and confidence when you choose an Air Force routine. While it will not be easy to complete the training, the outcome is usually worth it, especially since you should be left with both more muscle tone and the knowledge that you can complete any challenges you put your mind to.

Most Air Force training courses cost money, but you can usually get a few tips regarding the routine from fitness magazines and websites. Of course, you will not get the same challenge as if you were to take a course, but if you are already disciplined, you may benefit from learning some of the requirements of the training and then adding them into your own routine.

Military Uniform Styles

The military uniform is a concept taken from weaponry and tactics introduced into the European armies in the seventeenth century. Uniforms became a vital part thereafter, with soldiers being made recognizable in the smoke filled and crowded battle fields. Also, military uniforms are said to impose discipline and shape habits and actions on the job. Uniforms embody the organizational hierarchy within the military as well. Styles of uniform didn’t change until the mid- twentieth century. Military clothing expanded to a more modern and less isolated style, often indistinguishable from the casual dress of the civilian.

Between 1776 and the nineteenth century, the standard military uniforms in America followed the European uniform style. The tradition set by the British navy which wore the blue apparel in winter and white apparel in summer followed suit in America. In the early nineteenth century, the Napoleonic style of tight trousers, outsized headwear and colorful tight fitting jacket swept the military uniform style in Europe. This influence although subdued in America is evident during the half century, which followed thereafter. In 1830, the French colonial soldiers adopted a popular military clothing style with a cropped jacket and balloon trousers. This style quickly spread around the world.

Invincible Spectrum Of Military Technology

Truly speaking we live in vulnerable times. Most of the global composition from nations to terrorists is well equipped financially to support the purchase of weapons of mass destruction. The availability of nuclear weapons in the black market cannot be falsified. These particular sales are dominated with a phobia. These fear centric model amounts to tensions both within and outside of a country.

In this scenario a new defense model is invincible. The model apparently hovers around prevention than on fear. Using the age old principles of meditation to release competitive social stress which is at the roots of all individual stress built up. If the domain of stress increases, the collective tension gives rise to increased fear and anger within society. Both the political and territorial tension increases wherein military powers gains momentum leading to conflict. There is no doubt that conflict truly increases conflict, wherein innovation of military technology alters the fear spectrum.

Disarmament is not a true solution wherein one cannot play disarmed facing an armed aggressor. To counteract the specific fear syndrome scientists worldwide are focusing on alternative military technology development popularly termed as Prevention Wings of Military. In such a scenario, soldiers will be guided to meditation arena wherein inner soul transformation would lead to progressive peace. As Mahesh Yogi puts in, that transcendental meditation is easy and less cumbersome scientific module which can be practiced easily without any religious hiccups.

The process is derived from ancient practices and scientific guidelines form the basis of such practice. The practice does wonder wherein release of energy pores out into groups and then is released among the regional population. Spiritual war systems is the next big thing wherein researchers have time again proved that meditation and simultaneous investment in military technology to raise the soul above fear is better than increasing tanks, bombshells and weapons of mass destruction.

How the Military Can Help Your Finances

Being in the military poses serious risks to your health. The threat of combat can be serious and can require people to put their lives on the line for their country. So, while it will never be of equal value for the sacrifice they make, there are plenty of companies out there that give exceptional discounts to the brave men and women of the armed forces.

If you or someone you know is in the military, there are special deals to be had. All that is needed is a military ID and the want to buy things. One of the things that you are given the option to buy is a car. Cars are given with special employee pricing for members of the armed forces.

There are also deals in restaurants, clothing stores, and even on home mortgages. It’s one of the benefits of working for the government; the paycheck is always steady and the benefits are backed by the most trusted entity in the country.

However, just because you are part of the military doesn’t mean you are immune from financial difficulty. It doesn’t mean that families are not immune from it either. When you find yourself having financial issues or needing to help someone who is having financial issues, there are ways to remedy the situation.

One of the ways you can come up with the money to help out in a certain situation is auto refinance loans. These along with home equity loans could provide you the cash that you need to help someone else. Of course, there are other shorter term loans that you can take out on behalf of the person in need, and sometimes being a part of the military helps improve the potential to get a loan. Being a part of the military has its advantages, and it helps with some of the setbacks that occur in life, too.

Relating With Other Officers

To serve in any nation’s military is always an exciting experience although it can be very demanding. However, there are measures that you can take to ensure that your service in the military is not boring and cold. What you need to do is make friends with other officers. But, you must note that this may not be as easy as it sounds, especially if you are the intensely private type. One unique feature with the military is that either as combatant or non-combatant, you can transferred to any base either within or outside the shores of your country without any prior notice. Therefore, in such an environment, you may find it quite difficult to cope as you keep meeting new faces, some of which you have never seen before and some of which you may never see again. All these experiences can cause emotional instability on the part of the officer, not so many people can adapt quickly to new environment, as human beings, we crave for comfort and warmthof familiar faces and environment. In this regard, military life can be boring and very monotonous.

But you can make it interesting by relating well with other officers. To do this with the least of efforts, you need to maintain a good disposition towards others, do not keep malice with any one and always see the good in people. Because some of your colleagues may be responsible for saving your life in the heat of battle, there is every reason for you to stick together, just like comrade in arms, perhaps this explains the concept of espirit de corps among military officers. You have to be your brother’s keeper. To relate with others can be facilitated by sticking to the following principles: be genuinely interested in the welfare of others, learn to avoid criticizing others and work towards the good of all.

Preparing for Retirement

Whenever the issue of retirement is being discussed, it is common for the image of an elderly citizen with graying hair staying at home to flash to our minds. For an officer in the air force, or in any branch of the armed forces for that matter, you must start preparing for your retirement right from your first day on the job. One thing that you have to realize is the fact that right from your first day as a military officer, your countdown to retirement and that very last cheque has started. Do not deceive yourself thinking that the day of retirement is still very far off. You must know that time is an arrow, it flies and waits for no one. If you fail to plan for your retirement, then you are courting disaster unless you win a lottery. As a military officer, you need not be reminded of the fact that your work is one that is full of hazards and dangers here and there. One mortar attack and you are declared as unfit for service even if you are in your twenties. These are not fairy tales but what is happening to military officers all around the globe. As a result, you must steadily for the day you will slide into retirement. Adequate planning is needed if you do not want to slide into hunger, poverty and oblivion at the end of the day.

For military officers that do not take cognizance of this fact, they find it difficult to cope with life outside service when they are stripped of all those military perks and left as ordinary civilians. This sudden twist of fate may be too much to be handled by some retired officers who decide to commit suicide. However, you do not have to end up as a statistic, learn to save for that rainy day.

Sending Care Packages to Your Loved One Serving Their Country

The best way to show your loved one who is in the military how much you care and how proud you are is to send them care packages. The fact that you can actually purchase some of these and make them more special by adding some of your own things makes this easy.

Popular care packages include those that have just food items in them, such as cookies, candy bars that don’t melt—such as nut roll candy bars or candy-coated chocolate pieces—potato chips, popcorn, and other snacks. Another popular care package is one that contains books or magazines, crossword and other word puzzle books, playing cards, and other items.

You can order these types of care packages from online distributors. They come with the items already boxed and ready to mail.If you’d like, however, you can have them sent to your home so that you can add personal items to them.

If you feel that buying a care package is too impersonal, you can make your own. You’ll need a sturdy box (ask your post office which types of boxes work best for mailing care packages. They will probably try to sell you one of their own, but once you have the dimensions and an idea of the heaviness of the material, you should be able to find one yourself) and some packing material.

Once you have all that, what you want to put in the care package is up to you. You can include such things as pictures (not in their frames; rather, put them inside a metal container so they won’t get bent or torn), DVDs (ask if there are certain subjects or topics that they are not allowed to receive) and, of course, food. Use metal containers rather then boxes or bags to pack items in. These containers stack easily and can hold quite a lot.

Carrying Out your Duties

As a military officer, one of the things that you must never forget is the fact that you have made a solemn promise and sworn to a binding oath to always protect your nation even at the expense of your own life. As an officer, this is a principle that must guide and direct all your actions. If you can stick to this simple but important principle, then being a fine and professional officer will not be a dream that cannot be achieved. Apart from remembering these solemn vows, there are some other things that can assist you in carrying out your duties as effectively and efficiently as possible. Although some of these are values that have been inculcated in many of us right from when we were young, it will cause no harm if they are repeated here. One of such values is punctuality. One of the hallmarks of a fine officer is punctuality at the place of work, as an officer, you must value and respect time. This is especially important when you know that a second may be the only difference between life and death for that colleague of yours.

Another thing that you must carry like a badge is a disciplined and refined behavior. If there is any thing that the military is known for, it is the impeccable manners that soldiers are known to display at all times. Never abuse the uniform or use it to get undue advantage from a colleague or civilian. Apart from this, another value that you must develop and cherish as a soldier or officer is love for your fellow colleague. Serving in the military simply means that there will be times when you will encounter death face-to-face. In such circumstances, never abandon your colleague. This is very important especially when you know that what goes around comes around.

When Troops Come Home

Ever since our country first went off to war a few years ago, a lot of people have been clamoring for the entire thing to end. Not to seem impatient, but it has been most of a decade, and this one does look to be in for a long road ahead. Of course, one of the most major concerns on most people’s minds is for the troops, who have had to endure harsh conditions (including being very far away from their families) for a long time. One might even wonder if they have a clear vision of why they are fighting in the first place. To “stop terrorism,” while a very concise goal, is not the clearest of intentions, after all.

Of course, everyone who has any concern for other people wants our troops to come back home at some point, preferably as soon as is humanly possible. And when that happens, the natural assumption is that those troops would merge right back into their family and civilian lives just as easily as if they had merely been gone for a long weekend. The problem is, in wars past we have seen that there is not always such a simple transition from being in the thick of combat on a normal basis to being back in the civilian world.

For one thing, finding work in the civilian world can sometimes prove to be challenging for the returning soldier. While they may have learned valuable skills, sometimes there is simply no demand. Also among the problems a returning vet faces is PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) from their time in combat. The effects can often appear out of nowhere, and be emotionally devastating to a person in that situation. Not to mention the fact that often times, parents return to find that their babies are now toddlers, and their children are looking substantially more grown up than they had before. It has to feel very strange.

The Military is About Saving Lives

All too often, a group of people come to an unfortunately flawed conclusion without having the benefit of informed insight or real research on their side. In this case, a lot of people (mainly among the civilian population) have decided for themselves that our military is about little more than killing people. Often, these are the more jaded types of folks, who perceive that a military’s main role is to go around just being a massive, jacked up bully and taking down anybody who says or does anything that we “as a nation” (meaning our leaders) do not appreciate. While this could be the case, if we lived in some kind of a military dictatorship, we are very fortunate to have sufficient checks and balances in place that such a monstrous fate has never become our country.

Simply put, our military’s ultimate goal is to save the most possible people, and to keep the world as secure as is reasonably possible. Now, there are always going to be times in which the most honorable and good sounding rules are going to be bent, in the pursuit of higher ideals- or when a group of military personnel has to fight their way out of a hostile situation, and can not consult the proverbial rule book every time they want to take a step forward and possibly save their own skins.

Military people are human, and they are as prone to making mistakes as doctors, attorneys, politicians and anyone else who occupies a professional role. And just like in these other professions, sometimes a mistake can end up costing someone their life… and many lives may even be lost. Yeah, there is a lot of pressure on in the heat of combat. No matter what some maniacs may say, “Kill ‘em all and let God sort them out” is as much against the real military’s desires as it is impractical to actually carry out in real life.
